Title: Electrical Engineer - Solar Projects
Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer on Ground for Solar Projects is responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems in solar energy projects. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of solar PV technology, electrical systems, and the ability to manage and troubleshoot electrical components to ensure the successful operation of solar installations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Commissioning:
- Oversee the installation of solar panels, inverters, and associated electrical components in accordance with design specifications.
- Verify that electrical systems are correctly connected, grounded, and aligned with project requirements.
- Ensure that all installation work complies with safety standards and regulations.
2. Electrical Systems Management:
- Monitor the performance of electrical systems and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the operation of solar projects.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical components, including inverters, transformers, and balance of system (BOS) equipment.
3. Quality Control:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the correct installation and operation of electrical systems.
- Maintain detailed records of all electrical system inspections and maintenance activities.
4. Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all work is performed in strict compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the development of safety protocols for electrical work.
5. Testing and Reporting:
- Perform electrical tests, such as insulation resistance and ground fault testing, to verify system integrity.
- Generate reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and any required repairs or upgrades.
6. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other on-site teams, such as construction crews and safety officers, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical support to resolve electrical issues and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
7. Troubleshooting and Repairs:

8. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, and system configurations.
- Record and report any deviations from the original electrical design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
